I have 1990 15' bowrider fiberglass with a 1984 70hp Evinrude. I went to a site one time that would calculate what prop to use by asking what kind of boat, motor and weight of the boat and it would tell you what speed you should get. I can't remember the web site. Can anybody help.

15 for towing, 19 for speed. 17 is a good average. Maybe one prop size plus or minus depending on specifics, but that should be very close. Sorry, can't help with the website.

Piranha Propellers is a good website that would help you pick out the right prop @ www.piranha.com there is a simplistic prop picker that needs only your engine make, year and horsepower. with those three specs the website takes care of the rest and sets up a listing of the different styles and sizes of props that will fit your motor.
