ok guys i know how to fill screw holes and even looked up how to repair damaged areas by removing and redoing it....

my question is, i bought a new cover for my cd player. it has rounded instead of sharp corners. basically this leaves me with about 1/4-1/2 inch of exposed hole straight thru the console... do i really have to patch over the ENTIRE hole, then cut a new one out of that? seems like a huge waste of time to go about it that way.... any other ideas to fill these gaps in the corners would be appreciated

oops!

you can make a larger plexi glass plate.....attach the plate to the dash, then cut the hole for the cd player.

then also might be larger mounting plates form the factory to hide the hole.

but if you intend to fix the hole......then yes....glass over the hole....gell it, and re cut.
