We have an '89 we bought in '03 essentially lake ready. We've spent quite a bit of money and time on maintenance (mostly time) and upgrades (mostly money). It's worth more now than when we bought it.

At the same time, just before purchasing the boat in my sig last year, I had a 1980 Glaston 16' outboard bowrider, solid as the day it was made, and a 1991 Hydroswift that was, shall we say, not. Sold both when I got this one, 2002 model wood free brand. That part was worth the cost, even at my age. The MPI was a bonus. No wood anywhere in this one, all glas or composites. Beautiful interior in nearly pristine condition.

Watch those soft spots man. I was able to sell the 1980 solid boat for my original purchase price, which was 4 times what I could get for the 1991 "soft" boat at salvage price, just sayin'.

Well....see signature.

And more than likely this one will be staying in the family for a long time. Wife's mother (passed long ago) was a bus driver in town and known for keeping Pepsi and MM's on the bus. Boat's blue - wasn't planned. Last part of the registration numbers is MM - state chose the number. Pretty good sign it's meant to be I'd say.

MPI here and wouldn't switch back to carbs.

1974 15' Merrimack. Now has a '76 75hp Johnson Stinger on it. Not in bad shape for a 44 yr old :)

All my boats are old, but my 1979 Glastron-Carlson CVX18 is my oldest. Completely gutted currently & ready to be rebuilt.

I've also got an '85 to drive while the '79 is out of commission. Trying to figure which has to go eventually because I won't need 2 forever.

Apparently Center Console (Covered and Open) Fishing Boats aren't popular on Colorado lakes at all. When we lived there, 2002 thru 2005, didn't see any on the lakes we went to. A few weeks ago, we were in Loveland, CO and didn't see any on Boyd or Carter lakes.

With any luck, the middle of next year, we will be back living in Colorado again and back on freshwater lakes. Really, really miss the freshwater and rainbow trout fishing. Yes, we plan on having the Celebrity shipped back there.

Bought my first boat three years ago. Its a 1995 Sylvan 824 Special Edition with a 90hp Force outboard. Hard to find someone to work on it so I bought a manual and have been working on it myself. It's tough because I don't have a trailer and it stays in the water year round. I've got new seats, console, and vinyl floor last year.

1980 16' Sea Nymph aluminum, painted hull 4-5 years ago, stripped to keel and rebuild 6 years ago, repowered with Yamaha 50 this year.
Made it exactly what I wanted when I rebuilt it, night fish so all storage and live wells lit, pump in/out/recirculate on live well, 400 watt Roswell stereo, Motorguide wireless 55lb trolling motor.
Paid cash for it and build boats for a living so parts are easy to come into.
It is older but I do love my boat.

95 Bayliner with original Force 120 engine. I've got the worst of the worst and its 23 years old... yet the boat floats and shines and the motor starts and runs. Very happy with my old rig!

1950 Chris Craft. Shines like a new penny, and we get double "thumbs up" from the triple engine hot boats when we take it to the Colorado River.

1967 Mirrocraft, 14 foot aluminum, 40 HP Evinrude, never on the water
1973 Starcraft Super Sport, 50HP Evinrude, going out in it on Monday
1992 Western Aluminum 14 foot Utility, 9.8 Mercury Tiller, been on the water a lot of times
2002 Porta Bote 14 foot, Brand New, up for sale, never unpacked it, plans changed, brand new boat

I have had a lot of boats over the years.

Mine is a 2006 Lowe FM165 with a 75 HP Mercury 4 stroke. I bought it in 2008. It came with 5 upgraded seats, a 75# Minn Kota trolling motor, a 3 bank charger and a bimini top.

53 years old. A 1965 Owens Flagship 26' currently under restoration. So far I've only been doing mechanical repairs, can't wait to get started on some cosmetic stuff.

Cheers...................Todd

1987 Bassmaster 15 ft with a 1987 75 horse Mercury and big foot Minn Kota only had this for about two months. Still trying to find out info on all of its history, seems to be very little info out there. Motor runs excellent and boat looks good for it’s age. Just found this site and good to be here, sure I’ll have plenty of questions later on. Not new to boating just new to this boat.

Our pride and joy turned 66 years old this year. Other than some paint and varnish she is all original.

The original outboard engine went into semi-retirement this year. We have 3 motors that fit the controls, so a switch only takes a few minutes. She is currently sporting a youngin' 'Rude, that is only 45 years old.
