I completely agree. This thread is degenerating to the point of being ridiculous.

Just to put a lid on it, and sum things up...

1) Firebird should not be used to tow a 21' boat. Get another TV.
2) A standard/unmodified 25 hp outboard will not push anything at 50mph. 50kmph, yes.... Check your facts.
3) If this thread continues its downward spiral, it will be closed! Please keep a lid on the language (I've edited one comment already) and everybody have respect for everybody else....

Would that be a widescreen???? Actually, if he got another tv, he wont be on the road making it dangerous for the rest of us... Darn acronyms for us non-texters...............:laugh:

Sorry to get you all worked up there brain. I was just calling horse puckey on your stats there in sarcastic manner that you didn't appreciate.

I'm guessing that even if you strapped that 25 hp to a 5 lb. surf board I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get more that mid 30's with it. I'm thinking that sooped up racing machines bolted onto a specialized ultralight hull can get those kind of speeds, but, a stock Evinrude on a 15' utility boat???

Though, I'm not a prop nerd or a speed freak so maybe I'm all wet here.

No doubt plenty of solid advice has been given on your questions phrased in sever different ways. Run with it or ignore. Either way, have fun:thumb:
