Schematic shows 2 vent screws, so I`d say fill from the bottom hole untill it comes out the top hole.guessing under 3 Qts.

3 Quarts in the drive and 1 more in the reservoir. You will need 4 quarts if you reservoir is now empty. Draining the drive will also drain the reservoir. I usually let mine drain overnite to be sure all drains out.
