from reading in this forum it is clear that many folks own more than one boat .... I'm curious, what is the highest number of boats you've ever owned at the same time .... for us it is 3, a 18' fish and ski, a 12' aluminum boat, and a Porta Bote .... we are now down to one, the fish and ski

I am currently more or less boatless. . .a 12' tinny on the fishing hole.

At one time I had a Boston Whaler 11' Tender, two Montauk 17s and an Outrage 18. That is the most at once.

So many wonderful memories of wonderful adventures in wonderful boats. :)

Oh when I was in high school I think our family topped out at 16 boats, from 9ft up to 46ft.
I have nine now. Just little things, (2) Jersey speed skiffs, (2) canoes, (3) kayaks (all s.o.f.), (1) 17' Jersey shore pound boat cir 1920, and (1) 9' lapstrake dinghy cir 1920.

Re: How Many Boats

Never more than 3 in my household, and I will probably never own more than 2 at once. Growing up Grandpa had a 16ft fiberglass O/B open bow runabout and a couple tinnys.

I only own one now, the 18ft Mariah, but I am kinda itching to get a tinny for fishing and putting around.

I don't want the hassle of more than 2 at once.

Re: How Many Boats

counting my boats, a boat I own with several others, and the boats at the hunt club, I have 146 feet of boats--the biggest being 21'.

Solely my own, it's 3 motor boats and a canoe and a kayak.

Of the people I know who I would consider boaters and who live around here, most have more than one of some kind.

Re: How Many Boats

3 boats is about my max, none less than 20'. We usually run around with a bass boat, runabout, and a jet ski or two.

Eventually:
1 - bass boat/fishing rig
1 - tournament style ski/wakeboard boat
1- 28'+ cruiser
1/2- SC'd Jet skis

That covers the gamut of the type of boating activities we enjoy. :)

Re: How Many Boats

2 boats are plenty for me, especially if they are on trailers! Can only get two in the yard at the same time with these small California lots!
Currently: 20ft Bayliner Trophy WA with hard top for saltwater, 18ft Glassmaster rigged for freshwater bass.
