mercrusier is mercrusier, engine is ok i know people that owened bayliner, nothing last on those boats, even now their made chep check it out, look at the parts on bayliner, they shouldcall it baysinker,i wouldnt pay 2 cents for one, look at another boat larson, glastron maxium, wellcraft their all way better made, good luck.

my bayliner bashing stick WAS the biggest of all.
i have owned older bayliners and have worked on many. I am currently doing a re keel on an 07 that was sunk in a storm.

my older bayliner (90) was very thin hulled and the construction was not the best ....so i ripped it apart and re built it.......i got to see the construction of the older b-liners.....and they (while could have been done better) wernt bad. the main problem in adequate drainage to the bilge causing rot...and a minor hole in the hull from beaching could go undetected causing the foam to waterlog.....this was due to the thin hull.

the 07 i am now doing is a far better boat....construction good....workman ship could have been better in a few areas, but i can say that from any manufacturer.

also....there is not one person here that can say anyhing bad about the style or look of a bayliner....they have really cool lines.

all in all the new bay liners are fantastic boats for the money....in fact....for the money.....im giving them 2 thumbs up !

one more thing bayliner has done for the industry....is to allow people that could not of afforded an new boat, to get into boating with its low cost entry level boats. this has been a huge boost for the industry.

yes......brunswick is a huge company.

to the op........run from that boat just for the engine/drive package....really....you are buying a world of hurt.
