Pistol is locked & loaded & within reach. All others unloaded & decocked or dry fired. An unloaded gun is a worthless hunk of iron.

"Unloaded" guns are the most dangerous kind. Many people are killed with them every year. I was taught that whenever handling a gun, loaded or "unloaded", open the action and see for myself - never, never, never assume.

Amen, I will ditto that. My sons will ditto that. It is the first thing we notice when we see someone handle a gun. Tells us whether or not that person knows what they are doing or not.<br /><br />AK Chappy
