If you believe that government should be accountable to the people, not the people to the government...then you are a Republican! If you believe a person should be treated as an individual, not as a member of an interest group... then you are a Republican! If you believe your family knows how to spend your money better than the government does... then you are a Republican! If you believe our educational system should be held accountable for the progress of our children ... then you are a Republican! If you believe this country, not the United Nations, is the best hope of democracy in the world ... then you are a Republican! And, ladies and gentlemen ...if you believe we must be fierce and relentless and terminate terrorism ... then you are a Republican! <br /><br />There is another way you can tell you're a Republican. rolmops, are you able to sit-thru the entire "CBS eavning news" without wanting to upchuck?<br />We also get pretty nuaseated by "Broadcasters for Kerry". Even cable crap like "the Daily Show" is utterly un-watchable.<br />Im sorry,man.But you can't stop 'one-liners', because they are freedom of speach, just as Tom Brokcaw and Alan Alda enjoy.<br /><br />Last night gave a real boost of optomism to us, after the constant barge of bad, and internment of the good by the socialist media, and the icing on the cake was the speach by the democrat.<br />Unbelievable, isn't it?<br />But it happened. So get ready for many more one-liners.

This wasnt one liners, he was trying to clearly define what a replucan is to those that dont know. If it doesnt fit you, you are not a republican.<br /><br />I hope GW Bush quotes the Governator.<br /><br />I think many people that claim to be democrat said yes to these questions.<br /><br />Ken

I wish I could feel that We The People win with either candidate. Heads-We lose, Tails-We lose. Truth is I have no passion for either party or either candidate. Why can't we find somebody to run for President that we can All stand behind??? Or at least a significant majority. This evenly split stuff only proves that Neither candidate is worthy of the office in our collective opinions. Come to think of it, with Politics as it is, who that's worth voting for would want to go thru the ordeal? I want names. If you could vote for anybody in America, who would it be? Current candidates and former Presidents excluded. Living persons would be a requirement. Okay...current candidates are legit options. SOMEBODY must believe in them...someplace...somewhere.

I'm a Constitutionalist, Ralph...but when I step into the voting booth, I too am a Republican. But I do that in private. ;)

The real bad scene with all these political honchos presenting us with sound bytes is that they actually manage to take our attention away from the effects of their acts.Here we are discussing Schwarzeneggers definition of a republican.It sure does sound nice.But do we compare this definition to the acts of the behind the scenes policy makers like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell?Or for that matter Al Gore's or the Clintons?<br />It has come down to the incumbent using moderate speakers so as not to scare the moderate republicans away while the politics are rightwing fundamentalist.So you hear one thing, just so you will vote in that direction, but you get another.<br />By now Kerry has a one liner that has a bit of truth but not much. "Bush mislead us into Iraq"<br />That war may or may not be a mistake,but I feel that Bush was full of good intentions when he led the country into this war.<br />The point is that we should not allow ourselves to make up our minds because the guy sounds good.<br />We should count how many promises were made before the last election and how many were broken afterwards.and take it from there.<br />Or we should count how much money we pay in taxes after the taxcut.How much our county,state,town and school taxes were increased in order to make up for the federal taxcut.Or what happened to services we used to get and whether we still get them or were they also cut?<br />The truth is that the grand plans like war and peace are probably exactly the same under either candidate.So look at their acts and listen very ,very suspiciously to their words.

Alright then, now we're talkin'.<br /><br />All you Republicans should be asking for all the money you paid into Social Security back.<br />If a Republican tax cut is good for the economy, then no income taxes would be even better.<br />All special interest money should be immediately refunded by Republican politicians.<br />All corporate welfare and tax brakes backed by Republican legislation (as are most of them)should end today. Farm products and Agriculture subsidies, ditto.<br /><br />Hmmmm.... So much not listed as a Republican values.<br />Buy your own perscription drugs and health insurance.<br />Reduce the size of government by 2/3s immediately.<br />Take all the unbacked and printed money from the Federal Reserve off the books.<br /><br />As Republicans, if you don't stand for these values and continue to let your Republican representatives ignore and con you ..........you too, are allgirlie men! :D :D <br /><br />The govenator is doing a fair to good job here. <br /><br />But he isn't a Republican even by todays standards.<br />Put a (R) next to someones name and all the sudden everyone thinks they have the Republican values of Reagan.<br />It isn't so with Arny or GW.

It wouldn't work. <br />Half of us would be argueing about oil. The other half would argue about 2 vrs 4stroke.<br /><br />Seventeen national holidays involving water skiing.<br />Twenty two involving Fishing.<br />And thirty seven holidays involving sitting at the local boat ramp laughing and making fun of people.<br /><br />Gas at the pumps would be priced at 6 gallon increments.<br /><br />The Boston Whaler logo would appear on the flag.<br /><br />Welfare payments would consist of a can of worms and a Zebco 202.<br /><br />National healthcare would consist of a 12 pack and a packet of Redman.<br /><br />Foriegn policy would consist of a dart, a map of the world and one nuclear tipped Minuteman missle a week.<br /><br />Alright count me in. :p
