I hope you were also buying Lottery Tickets, with your Luck...I put the fuel in, then add the appropriate amount of oil. 50 years on doing it that way and never wrecked one yet.

I would not gamble that it mixed properly, but that is me...overly cautious, and try to be thorough with everything boat related....mabey that is why I have never been stranded or had to be towed in almost 60 years...just a guess here..

When I used portable tanks it was never an issue, but built in tanks can be another issue, no way to shake them up !I use a portable tank. It gets shaken. A LOT. Never had an issue. I also use OEM synthetic.
