I stumbled across the forum pages one day looking for motors for a friends boat. Laughed for hours at some of the stuff I was reading. Lurked around, on and off for a while, finally registered, and have been addicted ever since. Its the best boating forum on the internet, along with all those aboard.

Found it looking for info for my o/b motor.<br />Then I lurked around DC for a while...then introduced myself.<br />Never been the same since. lol.<br />I do love it though...everyone here is quite unique.

Got a bass boat from my dad, knew that if the motor ever quit I'd either have to fix it myself or park it. Search for motor repair advice and voila, here I is.

I was actually looking for another site whose name I had forgot and when I googled boat sales iboats came up. I did a quick flyby and noticed there was a forum here. I didnt stop and look though. I did mention that in passing to the girlfriend and she did stop and read for a bit and told me she saw quite a few conservatives here in dockside chat. How could I pass that up? What I was originally looking for was pricing on a Sea Ray.

I've been here since about the beginning. Everytime I did a search on boat info, iboats kept popping up. Wasn't many members then, but like a well organized family it sure has expanded. Great people then, and still great people now.

I was on a "local" site looking for info on my oil alarm going off. Someone there ( I'll hate him forever) told me about this site. Registered since 2/2002 and love DSC. I don't post for rank as you can see I'm still below 300 posts.<br />I feel like the red headed nephew sometimes on this site but y'all can't get rid of me cause I'm family!!

I was looking for help on finding spare parts for my 1950's engines and whenever I looked for a very specific part iboats kept popping up.With great help from Chinewalker and Steel Spike.<br />There was no dockside then.They called it something else.<br />I have tried to return the favor by posting some advice and by buying Iboats products.

Yup, rolmops. We called it "Nothing to do with Boats" back then.<br /><br />I came here looking for advice and help on repowering. Stayed to offer advice and help on things I had experience with.

I was looking for tehnical advice or experience with troubles with brand new Johnson 150. Our dealer was not being cooperative. I got the advice we needed and then some. Took a better look around at the entire site and thought it was the best thing since canned soup. I immediately bookmarked it since I knew we'd be needing advice again. Started reading and started posting. At that particular time, I think I was the only woman poster.<br /><br />We've both met a lot of good friends here over the years.

I have always had this thing for boats.You'dd think the NAVY would've cured me of that when i was still impressionable....<br />Anyhow, i was looking for Force OB parts, found the forums, and decided to share knowledge with other boat-crazed squids. <br />I have come to consider most of them shipmates.

Last year I got a boat/motor/trailer for free...<br /><br />Lurked for a while, because most of the info I initially needed I could find with the <search> button.<br /><br />Had to register when I had specific questions, and now just make a general nuisance of myself .<br /><br />Glad to be here, & glad to know you all!<br /><br />Matt

I was searching for parts and ended up purchasing from iboats. Found the help forums to be a great source of info. I have been laid up for alot of the summer so D C has been a source for entertainment. Haven't been brave enough to chime in on alot of issues but mabey some day.
