Not important at all. You have a seal on the top of the pump.
They didn't put one on there for a LONG time.
If it came with the new pump, put it on.
The sea/washer was given to the Mercury owners on every pump I ever saw.

Awesome. I put everything back together and the bot ran much better than it has since purchase. I do seem to have a slight misfire so I’ll start with the plugs then go from there. I trolled and ran for about 6hrs straight. It only does once from switching reverse to drive, besides getting skunked that was the only hiccup lol

Maybe start another thread?

Might be something simple like plugs or the carbs needs adjusting, even
some water in the fuel???

Fuel tank has been drained and refilled with new fuel. All fuel tank lines are now brand new. Water separator filter is new and added a particle filter also. Im gonna tinker with it some more, replace the spark plugs and clean the jets then if I continue to have the same issue ill be back lol
