Guy's, she say's i have too many rods. "Why so much, all you have is two hands"?. I try to explain that esch one has a purpose. I ask her why she has so many bottles of BEAUTY creams and 2 blowers and 15 hair brushes and 10 perfumes and 9 pair of shoes , blah, blah , blah. I bet her that most fishermen have more than me and she say's . YEA RIGH !!! HELP ME HERE GUY'S TELL THE TRUTH .. HOW MANY YOU GOT????

Welcome Aboard...I have ten rods..Can never have enough I say..Fish do have feelns ya know..They bite by the colors don't they..oh my bad its the lures huh..Extra rods are for just in cases..you know friends rookies ect..Some are used to match my atire.She can relate to that..<br /><br />I see you did not ask about the tackle boxes that goes with the rods..Or maybe that is or was your secret til now....

Ha........ We all share your sentiments!!<br /><br />Fishing rods and Guns have always found a soft spot in my heart. Although you can only use one at a time they are all like snowflakes........no two are alike.<br /><br />Although I usually have six to eight rods rigged up in my boat, there are often times I wish I had that extra rig; especially when fishing a tournament or as darkness settles in making things difficult to untangle a birdsnest in a reel or tie on a new lure. These are only the bass fishing rods. To that number add in a few big water trolling rods and about a half dozen flyrods from 2 through eight weight and you can probably fill an entire room with fishing rods of all types and sizes.<br /><br /><br />When wifie challenges my inventory of rods I also remind her of the expanded wardrobe collection she has created.<br /><br /><br />Kevin

15 Bass Rods, then there are the fly, ultralites, and salmon steelhead rods. That reminds me, I need a new one, I found a reel the other day and I dont have a rod for it.

I had 23 last year, then decided to get rid of ten. Somehow I now have 18 again. ???<br /><br />Do ice fishing rods and tip-ups count? If so, then add on another 16.<br /><br />I believe one member here said he had 83 rods at last count.

Right. <br /><br />Lures, rods, guns, dogs, tools and good books are like shoes, purses, dresses, hats, perfumes, makeup, etcetera. Essential equipment for a person's life.<br /><br />Different situations call for different equipment.<br /><br />Hmmm. Got 2 telescoping panfish poles, fly rod, light crankbait rod, medium crankbait rod, 3 musky rods of different actions, 2 trolling rods and . . . .I don't have enough rods.<br /><br />And I am down to only 5 guns!! Oh, the shame of it! And I don't have a wife to limit me!<br /><br />I need to get out and remedy this situation right away.

I just have 2 bass type rods, but I have 8 crappie rods. 2 bass, 1 whitebass, 1 striper, 8 crappie tackle boxes. Is there a pattern here? I guess I just prefer the company of crappie.

NEVER keep all poles in 1 place so it's easy to<br />see the full amount... a few in basement, some in<br />barn, some on boat, etc.

Probably only have a couple a dozen. Usually only take six out when fishing with my son. One with jig, one with crankbait/plug, and one for trolling/drifting, each. Anymore in our 14' boat would be a mess! The usual analogy is golf clubs, which I have zero. ;-)

I've got 4, The wife has 2. Got home from work today, lay down take a nap. Couldn't, wife was cleaning her dresser out and I counted 24 bras. Go figure?

Are we talking about the ones on the boat, the ones at home, or the ones in my truck?? I try to keep a good variety in all three locations, although I must admit it is hard to keep the truck stocked as I can only store 2-piece rods behind the seat. If I added all of them up, I dont think I can count that high, so it must be more than 20.

1/2 dozen on the boat, another dozen in the garage, and a few more in the office. I found a rod the other day that didn't have a reel! Guess I need a new reel!

So many different kinds of fishn. To many rods.<br />Here's a small twist to the subject.<br />What do you do with old broken and worn out rods.<br />I cant seem to bring myself to throw them out,<br />got them saved, but dont know what for. <br />I turned some of them into short Ice fishing poles<br />the others just hang lonely in the garage.<br />Maybe theres a resting place for them that I <br />dont know about.

It does not matter how many you have if the little lady finds the receipts. <br />I down sized considerably from almost 50 rods to just over 25 or so and figured she would be happy with my down sizing but that didn’t happen. She found a receipt for one of my latest acquisitions and found out just how much each one of those pretty rods with my name on them actually cost. I certainly had a whole lot of explaining to do when she went down to the shed to take inventory.

I got as a gift from a old ex fisherman about 7 rods this week . they are casting rods made by abugarcia and heddon . the butt is made of metal and they are fiberglass rods. very old and the reels are also very old . now i have around 33 rods . But what i find funny is that i really use around 10 of them the rest is like an egoo trip i want to feed. Then if you are a ebay freak like i am you will always find an excuse to buy one more reel that is a steal.By the way anybody selling rods??????????????
