Honda 2hp 4-stroke outboard

I am unable to start my OB. Started two weeks ago and ran fine. Got a spark. Someone told me that if the oil level is low it will keep it from starting. Is that true?

First place I'd look is the fuel system/carburetor....may be plugged by old/contaminated gas...tiny little carb jets very easy to plug up....

Check for spark and compression. If you have both of those and it won't start then the problem is fuel related, possibly a plugged up carb.
