Hey,

looking for some advise on how/ or what to fill these holes with. They are from the Pitot tube that I removed which was rusty around the screws. I would also like to put on back on, but would rather not drill back into the hull. Any advise at all would be helpful. Thanks.

I Really enjoy reading this forum and learning from all of your guys projects.

Re: Holes in Hull

Okay here is a quickie way that will work......

Get a Marine epoxy stick OR some PC-11 OR some fiberglass resin and cloth or some JB Water Weld . Any of those will fill those holes and be waterproof. You might want to run a drill bit in slightly to clean up the inside of the holes to have some fresh material for any of those to grab hold of.

I am a big fan of the marine epoxy stick for quick and easy. 14713.jpg

Just an FYI...IF you want to repair the outer coating with it's original surface, i.e. Gelcoat then using the epoxy products suggested will give you some issues since gelcoat does not adhere well to epoxy. If you Paint then it will be fine.
