Why is the "All American Handyman" being judged by two Canadians?

I think Mike Holmes is a very conscientious and quality builder but his ego grates on me.

Well there has been an Englishman judging American Idol for many years, and English lady judging America's got talent, Americans judging things in Canada and other countries as well.
I don't really see an issue

Yes...why couldn't they have got someone with a little more humility...like, say, a Bob Villa....;):D

HGTV is filled with Canadian produced TV shows.

You're right. Nothing against our freinds up North.:D I think better judges would have been Norm Abrams and Tom Silva from This Old House.

No love lost for Bob Villa, I always thought he was a bit "standoffish".

The new guy, Kevin ????? is terrific. He has humility. A trait that endears.

I believe HGTV is Canadian, filmed and produced here.
You can always tell Canadian programing, there is very little violence, and at least you can _________________????
