Well after about six hours today finished removing my engine, climbed back in and well the crap I finding is nothing less than wanting me to just say boy did I get boned......pics to follow. I need some information on what these parts are in this photo going through the tramsome. They are the hoses Alpha 1 Gen 2 drive, outdrive is in good shape, but noticing all the damage I will take the time to replace the impeller and the trim rams as the fluid was milky, the outdrive fluid was fine not water in there but just to say for safety sake I will replace it. All the help I can get with this one.....and yes the glass under the mounts are bad including the transome as well. I hope to hear from yas as soon .

That is a 3.7 block. Since you are this far into your project......... consider a new powerplant of a regular 4 cyl or a v-6. That motor might not be worth the effort.

IMG00083.jpgIMG00082.jpgIMG00080.jpg004.jpgI have heard of the 3.7 having some issues but I've also considered a 4.3 chevy but still not sure if I want to spend the extra monies on the extra parts, this is a good motor, and rebuilding by way of a machine shop locally is still an option, still open to suggestions though. My wife called me for dinner tonight and I just hopped out of her so the timing was right. Getting it out was a pita, with a regular hoist but still worked well. Not really looking forward to the installation in a few months:rolleyes:

I haven't seen a lot of motor/drive advice given out here in the resto forum. Best to stick to the I/O repair forums for that. Now when you find out your motor mounts are rotten :p then we're your guys.
