Pulled lower unit off 115 v4 Johnson outward with hydraulic electric drive had to cut seliniod wires in lower to remove. Put it all back together now my 20 amp fuse pops when it runs for 20 sec any ideas why? I used heat shrink connectors to put back together everything worked before I tore apart

Re: Help

Disconnect the shift wires and use an ohm meter to check for a ground in the lower unit. If it worked properly before you took it off, you must have done something wrong when you reassembled it. Why did you cut the wires?

Re: Help

I'll try that. I didn't want to leave seleniod outside in ran while working on lower unit was a bad decision on my part

Re: Help

Post some pics of the wires where you cut them. How did you "rejoin" them?

It just makes it easier to post information on one post. Some people don't read all posts, and you want all the answers you can get.
