Re: Help with Starcraft Islander 221V
Hi,
Sorry I have not updated this in a while. I have been waiting for the boat guy to decide what to do with it. When I first looked at it, he told me it was for sale, but someone put a deposit on it over a year ago and he was never able to get a hold of them to get the rest of the money or haul it out. I told him I would take it, but he said he had to try and call them one more time. I guess when he left a message saying he was going to sell the boat to me, it changed their mind and they came back and gave him the rest of the money. But, they still have no trailer, or even a place to keep the boat. I am going to try and contact them and see if they would like to sell it for a profit. I will let you guys know if it works out or not. I really like this boat, but it seems I am always a day late and a dollar short on every deal that comes along. Now that I have been looking at the islanders, I am noticing there are quite a few of them in the area. I talked to one guy that paid 1100 for a 22 foot islander with an outboard (Not on a bracket) at an auction 2 years ago. He said it runs great and has had no problems with it at all.
Fingers crossed I find another one or the owners would like to make a deal!
