If it is not to damage, let it be repaired.
As it is on the engine with the boat it supposed to has the right pitch and would work well.

Someplace on the prop should be the size or #s that tell the size.
Never saw the 125XT before.
Dress em up.
Still the same Force.1987 early.
From what I can see: the prop is from an older Force.
The exhaust snout has been modified(cutdown).
If you bought it at auction and it runs?? Good deal.

So the prop is from my Force 85, The prop that originaly came with it is an excellent stainless steel one so i took it off and put it on my bayliner since i was running that one this summer. So if i put it back on this boat i would need a prop for my other one. What would you recommend for a 1984 force 85?

Yep same thing as I got just not as rednecked as mine. 17 pitch will give you a nice best of both worlds idle/hole shot depending of course on how much gear and entourage on board. Let me know what part are needed as I’ve got tons lol.

The difference in pitch and the way it affected my boat and wallet.
1988 21ft. twin 85hp. Forces 17p alum. 32mph 33 on a good day.
I wanted more speed so I changed to a pair of 19p alum.
I got more. speed went to 35-36
The bad: my fuel economy took a dump.
I was using 15-20% more fuel.
So the right prop will make it run the way it's designed to.

Update on this motor: I put my good stainless 13 1/4 x17 prop on it and it runs like a dream! its really smooth and fast.

Only 2 problems: I need a prop for my 1984 Force 85 on my Bayliner Capri
And the control box slips when i first engage it and i wanna know how i can tighten it, and also it seems that kill switch was bypassed by previous owner which i wanna know how to fix.

Sounds to me you’ve got 3 more issues; the prop on the 85 depends on personal preference, load, and what it is you wanna achieve. Control box-without seeing it and how it’s all connected; may be loose at the helm or stripped on the motor side; or not set up right from the start. Kill switch is pretty easy to put in-you said bypassed so I’m assuming the switch is still there?? Get a new one, they’re pretty cheap

The kill switch is in the shifter, you look inside yet?
Probably just rehook the wires???
That black plastic thing on the prop, it's designed for a different style(older) prop. Look up a parts diagram for a 1988 85/125 lower unit and see what's needed for the prop.

I havent looked at the wires yet i test drove it and my bigges concern with the shifter is that its loose when i first engage gear which makes docking a bit difficult because i gotta push it into WOT and pull back to go slow.

and thanks i'll look it up the black thing is off my 84 force 85.

yea kill switch is still there and the whole unit is wired up a bit janky like the wires for T/T are running on the outside of the shifter thats why i was wondering if there was any universal shifter box i can switch to to have a new one.

also for the 85 I was using the 13 1/4 x17 from this one and I really enjoyed the ride so I am wondering if you know where i can buy one that fits. last one i bought didn't fit well.

Look on ebay for the shifter.
Pretty much any Chrysler/Force shifter will work unless it's the Mercury shifter1995
Make sure the T@T is in the handle.
Before 87 the T@T was on the dash.

“ have voltmeter, will travel “ spend some time getting to know your wiring; label it if it helps then it’ll all come together. Clean replace connections and test everything then tuck it away. Happy boating!

I saw on another site that the prop was 13" × 19" pitch. I have the Force 125 and am currently in process of getting it run.

Depending on the boats size?? the prop can be a 17 or 19
The factory props are cupped from the factory.
My self I'd get a 17 then test the performance.
What size was the SS and what was the rpm's at wide open?
