Help with 1975 mercury 65hp

I JUST BOUGHT A BOAT MOTOR STARTED RIGHG UP. NOTICED THAT WITH MUFFS ON AND IN A BARREL THAT THE WATER IS NOT COMING OUT STRONG FROM PEEHOLE. AND NOTICED THAT BY THE FIRST CLINDER A LITTLE DRIBBLE OF WATER COMING OUT FROM SOMEWHERE BY SPARK PLUG? THERE IS A TUBE ON THE SIDE OF THE MOTOR DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS HERE IS A PICTURE I UNSCREWED AND WAS CLOGGED CAN SOMW ONE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS FOR THANKS

Replace water jacket cover gasket around sparkplugs.

Ok thanks do you know why it would only be shooting a little water out of the pee hole someone told me it should be more of a treat and mind dribbles a little and very vary light stream? Should I replace impeller? Also I have no clue what that piece is for on the side it just a hole and plastic screw to a hose?

It also when running on idle smoke white smoke xome from prop is that normal

I'm totally new to this sorry for all the questions I appreciate just want to get out on water and don't want to ruin the motor don't have much info on history

Some will argue.----If you do not know how old the impeller is , it needs a new one..-----That motor may not shut down on overheat.----May not have an overheat warning horn.-----It would run until it jammed up !!----Not one of my favorite motors.

Ok I guess I will replace the impeller since they gave me 2 and water jacket to start but do u know what that hose is for it goes to the body I'm stumped been looking and can't find anything when u unscrew it plastic and blocked blew air in it and put it back in

Is it normal to have the hose on the left side water comes out that and comes out from the other hose on the right so I get to streams cant find anything about this
