I'll try and keep this short, lots to talk about. Rinker 262 w/ Volvo 5.7 GXI-F. Last time I had my boat on the water the trim/tilt worked great. That was 2 weeks ago. A few days ago, I backed the boat in the water and went to tilt down...nothing. Both relays are clicking when I press up and down. Motor and pump are fine, I jumped a wire from the battery, works up and down. Removed one of the relays, had become hot sometime, and slightly melted the plastic casing. Got two new relays, still clicks. Cleaned connections with contact cleaner and really wiggled relay wire and connections. (tough to move as the harness is riveted to the motor bracket) After i wiggled with them for a couple minutes, I hit my trim button again....it worked, for a second, then clicking again. Well it is definitely electric. Corrosion, bad connections, etc. And get this, I was doing this practically in the dark and had most of the boat cover on and when I pressed the trim button down i could see the cockpit led lights have a very faint flicker. Would not be able to see this in the daylight. Very odd. Any suggestions???
