Welcome to iBoats!

These boats look FAST just sitting on the Trailer. A Boat without a motor is a Floating island. You need to be shopping for a Motor ASAP. That will cost approx. $1,000 to $1,500 for a decent one. Then, to restore the boats Deck, stringers and transom you will spend another $1,500 - $2,500 dollars. But... For $3,000 - $4,000.dollars and 100-200 hours of hard, itchy work, you'll have a very Kool Looking boat that will last for years. Where you going to buy a quality "Like New" boat for that kind of money? One draw back is its only a 4 person boat at the most. But... I should be a "Chick Magnet" :D If you're willing to spend the time, effort and dollars, I'd say go for it. Check the first link in my signature below for some "How To"

Never heard of them. What you are looking for is a quality grade of exterior grade plywood with as few voids in the plys as possible. Fir would be the best wood for the plys.
