Help Please (55 Johnson seahorse)

I have a 55 johnson seahorse outboard. It's a mid 70's motor. When I first start it its pretty easy. You have to give it alot of throttle at first. After it has run for a few (like fishing a area), It does not want to start. It cranks right up and then dies like its chocking or something. I don't know anything about it and the carb does not seem to have any adjustments...

welcome to iboats. need model # of motor to determine exactly what you have, so you can get the best advice. please read this also. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=250879

I am sorry. I have looked all over for a model # and no luck. Where should it be?
