I am repairing a 14' fiberglass boat and have no clue what the make/model is. Can anyone help me? I tried to add photos but I can't from my phone. Maybe I can e-mail them?

Re: help me identify my boat

Welcome to iboats!! Pics seem to work the best through a free photobucket or flikr account, that's what most of us use. Is there any Coast Guard plate anywhere on it? Any distinctive symbols that might be from a manufacturer? Old glassers can be a challenge, but we will give it a shot!

Re: help me identify my boat

I tried photobucket but no luck yet. Still trying to figure it out. Anyways I found on the throttle levers it says sea king on it. After endless searching on the internet I have come up with no answers. I assume it is a later sea king model fishing boat. The color on the motor matches the color on the boat. The frame is 100% fiberglass except for the back (don't know the term for it) is wood coated in fiberglass. This is a fixer up boat and its been gutted so now comes the fun part!

Re: help me identify my boat

Sea King boats were built by various manufacturers and sold through Mongomery-Wards department stores from the late '50s into the '60s- Possibly later. Here is some info-

http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/Sea_King

They also sold motors, trailers, etc. The boats were usually sold as a package, so there is a good chance that if it has a sea king motor, the boat could be a sea king as well, though motors CAN be changed out.

Photos would help a lot!

This is where were at now in restoring it. You can see the support beams and all that which was all original. I wanted to learn more about the boat before I did any work to it since were trying to make it a fishing/recreational boat.
