Okay obviously this is a Merc PTT, and I had just realized that I had it a few minutes ago off of this POS boat that I bought. Turns out it had something worth of value on it. I have a '67 Merc 650 that I was wondering if this would work on. Also what else would I need to get this to work with my motor? Thanks guys!

You will need the hydraulic ram assembly/hanging bracket that will fit where the shocks are now, with longer through bolt needed as well as drilling four new holes in the transom. You will need a trim tilt switch either stand alone or one that works through the control stalk on a hard to find vintage control assembly.Depending on what you do with your boat they are nice to have along with having some value by older model Merc people.

Cool thanks, so this will work if I get the ram assembly? Do I need three pistons or one?

Can barely read the numbers, but looks like they read 45660A1. Does that sound right?

Belive that that system has two rams, one on each side of the transom bracket. The one on Ebay looks to be just a manual tilt assit shock and not what would work as there are not any hose conections on it. Call seller and ask as they are more than willing to help, and could have the ones you need.

Thanks. This system requires a whole new hanging bracket correct?

Yes that's one of two trim ramsPOWERTRIM&TILT.jpg this is what they look like installed, I notice that you have the hoses so you're almost there. Any Merc dealers in your area that have a bone yard - good place to get parts.power-trim-wiring.jpg Here's the wiring diagram if you want to test the pump.
