Help identify this cowl

Picked up a clean 40hp cowling. Seller didn't know the model number of the motor it came off of. Looks like a 3 cylinder hood but I didn't know they made 3 cylinder 40hp. Anyone know what year this might be off of and if it fits other hp like 50 or 60 or 70? Looking to resell it to a good home. Thank you

Look for it in the 2001 model year.----Yes , you will find a 40 HP 3 cylinder there.

Tried that but all the diagrams look like rope start models

That year johnson had several 40hp models
2 cylinder 2 Strokes, and a 4 Stroke model.
both of these were Prop Jobs
It was the 40hp Jet Pump model, that was 3 cylinders.
