Hello ladies and gentlemen. I previously inherited my grandfather's boat, and I can't find any information on it anywhere. It is a 12 foot, fiberglass (I think), three bench with a v-hull, and the middle bench contains a live well. The registration sticker on it expired in 1979 so I have no idea how old the boat actually is. The only manufacture name I could find on it was FOREMOST, and that word was inside of a blue oval (like a ford emblem) I can't figure out how to post a picture on here, however I could email you pictures of this boat if it would help. I'm going to have the boat restored, but I would like more info on the boat itself. Thanks for taking the time to read this post, and any help would be appreciated!

reminds me of the old sears gamefisher.
what would you need to do to restore it?

you don't say where you are but if you are putting a motor on it you will need to work on the registration which is a huge pain for an old boat without previous registration.

welcome to iboats!

Without paper work (tittle and registration) you may be asking for trouble. Try to get that taken care of first, then spend your time and $$ to restore, without the paper work, you may struggle getting the boat registered in your name and on the water. Have fun with your new toy.

Posting Pictures

Hi Southern, and Welcome to Iboats.

There are a couple of ways to post pictures - begin with your computer by resizing whatever images you have so that they are small for the web. If you have a microsoft computer, you can do this using the edit function on 'photo gallery'

Next, you can upload them in one of two ways. You can hit the 'go advanced' button below the text entry screen, then scroll down to 'manage attachments' Click on that, and an attachments box will pop up - simply follow the instructions to post the pictures. If you do so, they will look like this.

The better way - to get large pictures - is to open a 'photobucket' account. After uploading pictures to photobucket, you click on the photo you want, then click on the textbox to the right of the letters "IMG". This copies the web address for that photo. You then return to the iboats page, and right click on the screen where you want to insert the photo, then click on 'paste'. What that does is insert a link to your photo on photobucket. The images you get using this method are bigger and easier to see, like the one below.

So go ahead and post some pictures, so we can all see the boat!

welcome to iboats!

It came with a 5 horsepower gamefisher, lol.
I don't know what I have to do to restore it, I have no experience with fiberglass. I was going to take it to my local boat repair shop in order to get a estimate on anything
the boat may need. It has been registered before, it has the stickers on it. I talk to my local DNR office, and they advise me that their records did not go back that far. All I would have to do is register the boat and then take it for an inspection. The information I'm trying to find out about the boat is the manufacturer specifications, what is the maximum weight capacity, horse power capacity ect.........
