Hey all,
I tackled my first fiberglass repair. it was a recore of a rotted out fuel tank panel. I grinded everything out, cut marine ply to size, put stranded sheet of fiberglass , then put the marine ply, then woven sheets of glass.
It is very solid, but the white gelcoat/glass layer on the top did not stick to some of the stand mat/marine ply. I am not conerned with the aesthetics of the white gelocatr as it is covered with carpet, but is there any way to fix the spots that did not stick from the top? I was thinking I could drill holes where the gel coat bubbles up and shoot some thickened epoxy resin in there?
Like I said, it is very structurally solid, but very annoying when you walk on it.
