Guessing and assumptions will not work.----Some simple inspection / trouble shooting will find what is wrong with your motor !!----And some folks are reluctant to answer questions about their motor.------Sorry ----I can not see , hear or feel your motor.----It usually takes no more than 15 minutes to determine what is wrong with a motor !!

Information like----" appears to be getting spark " ----Means nothing to me.-----So does spark jump a gap of 7/16" , yes or no ?----Are you pushing the key in WHILE cranking it over for cold starting ?----Is there fuel in the carburetors ?-----Checked for water in the fuel ?------Checked flywheel key ?----Is the fuel pump working ?

Ok. Yes. Yes I’m pushing key in. Yes getting good clean fuel to carburetors (when I prime it). Fresh fuel. Flywheel spins well. Not 100% on fuel pump working. I have now gotten it to start as long as I have the prop disengaged and throttle wide open it will start. If I take it back to half throttle it bogs down. If I try and take it back to neutral and let it idle it dies. I am certain I need to figure out the carburetor adjustment still. It seems like it’s not getting fuel when I decrease throttle. This is the first time the motor has been started in over a year. Sorry for all the questions just first boat and outboard I have ever messed with. Thanks again for helping

I’m also giving it a little shot of ether to start up

Giving it a little short of ether is no different than what the electric primer valve does.-----So are you pushing the key in during cranking to cold start this motor , yes or no ?-----And have you checked to see if the electric primer valve is working as designed , yes or no idea how it works ??

Yes I am pushing the key in when starting. Is the electric primer valve the solenoid with the red lever? If so I have tried with it in manual and with it engaged (both pointing towards the boat and away from the boat). I ohm tested it with my multimeter and it was within the limits. Not sure if that is the valve you are talking about though

Yes that is the electric primer valve.------It opens when you push in the key.----When motor Is cranking fuel should come out of the 3 small hoses going into the carburetors.

Ok I’m doing this solo at the moment I will see if I can unhook the fuel lines and see what’s happening when I push the key in

Ok I primed it with the bulb and then pulled the top carb fuel line off. Pushed the key in while trying to start and did not see any fuel come out of the line. I have the red valve handle pointed away from the boat.

If I prime until the bulb is firm and then flip the valve handle forward I can hear fuel going through the solenoid

The question !!---Put red lever inline with primer body valve --Does fuel come out of the little hoses, key pushed in and engine cranking , yes or no ?-----You are not helping yourself if you do not answer simple questions !-----Last chance.

When you say online with primer body valve are you saying the red lever pointing towards the boat or away? If inline is pointing away from the boat, which is what I have been told is the direction it should be facing, then no is the answer. No fuel came out of the fuel supply to the carburetor when the key was pushed in. Just went back outside and tried with the red lever in the opposite position ( pointing towards the boat) also no fuel with the key pushed in as hard as I can while cranking for 6-8 seconds.
