Head Compatibility

I have 2.5L 120 s/n 0C661190 with a cracked head, I found someone selling a good head of a 120 s/n 4659177 are these heads interchangeable. I could not find a look up that would accept the 4659177 serial number for me to reference.

This listing shows one head for the 120 from ‘63-’89 so i suspect only one head was used the entire run of the 120


i think the early serial numbers like you are looking for are pre 1982 and most places dont have listings fir parts

there is one source that has the serial numbers for both the engines listed. the head in both cases is P/N 936-5319, so you should be good to go.

Ayuh,.... A 120 head, is a 120 head,...
Question again for you if you could please help. The main crank for these two engines are they the same?

Wondering if I can use the pistons from one to the other?

Moving pistons from one block to another isn't recommended. Cylinders are bored and honed to match each piston, individually....

Agreed done that in backyard hone the bore re- ring plastigauage bearing rebuild … had s loads of blowbuy and never idled right
