Look closely as to what my young fellow has done to the house.
He has an absolute fixation with water/drainage/pumps/tanks etc. (along with gardens/worm farms/ships etc).
At smoko this afternoon he proudly announced to us he had stripped down 3 of my water seive traps, and diverted the down pipes from the corners of the house in to them, and set up his 12v bilge pump to move the water to another 1,000L holding tank so we could have more water for HIS NEW GARDEN.
He took Anita around to show her. She came back saying I should see what has been done.
All the evidence is in the photo. Down pipes cut in half, (the white bit, being inside of pipe not painted, not quite straight I might add), hack saw against the pot, 12v battery pack for the pump, bag trolley to move up water seives, and so it goes on.
What can you say.
He has done 3 (THREE) down pipes.
The place now looks.......I don't know what it looks like....I guess you would say it has a Hill-Billy-Look about it.
Didn't take him long to work out father was not please.
Cheers
Phillip

And I thought you ment Mathew.

Looks like your young lad is very inventive. OK cutting bits off the house wasn't the best thing he could have done to impress but you have to admire his ingenuity.

Encourage him Phil, just make sure you set down the rules on what he can and can't do.

BTW. It probably is time to get rid of Mathew Hayden, he's an old man now.

I raised a boy and three girls, and they used to do some hair-brained stunts too...
Like the "boat dock" made from my porch deck.
Like the "black-out job" on all the chrome (including door handles) of my car.
Then there was the "bait traps" made from all the neighbors' garbage cans?

Ah yes... Raising kids can be a learning expreience, Phil.
I know it's hard to take at times, as that picture denotes. But that picture has frozen time for his grandkids to laugh at) --, but try to not to discourage his creativity, and God grant you the required patience..

I'll take him too, even pay the airfare and you keep your money. My mom always said I was like a monkey- If I couldn't tear it up I would chit on it. Still true to this day. I did and do the exact same type of things your boy is doing, and I'm 32.
