when i type in 0L68689, on a couple of websites, it tells me not found. i just bought this 2000 rinker 212 captiva with mercruiser 5.0 efi and was wanting to get info on what plugs to buy, which oil filter, which water/fuel separator to buy, how much oil and weight of oil to buy and any other little maintenace thing i should buy before i run it any longer. and i want to buy a new impellar, hasn't been changed in 18 months. oh and another thing, do i use service manual 24 and is it easy to install an hour meter?

0L68689 is one number short of being a SN.
There should be a metal tag on the back of the engine just above the start with the number stamped in it.
May be hard to see, a digital camara works wonders if you can aim it right.

You don't need a manual or a SN to install an hour meter. Under the helm, pick up the + wire for the hour meter of the purple wire going to any of the instruments for power. Then a ground. that is your wiring.
