Amelia Earhart has interested me ever since high school 40+ years ago. Everything I've ever read or heard always pointed to a Pacific Island....duh That's the direction she was going.

I think that until the plane, or parts of it are discovered we'll never know the truth.

What amazes me is just that fact.....the plane. One would think that after all these years and what is available, the plane would have been found. One story I read had it that the Japanese have it in secret storage.

anyone could have been stranded on that island. I'm sure hudreads of people have been stranded on pacific islands over the years.
but i do think that someone had to be stranded there based on the abondoned camp site.

They said something about infant remains also. What if when they were marooned they had a baby? Don't know what the island had to offer as far as being able to survive for that long of a period of time? Should do DNA on the bones of the infant they dug up also. Being they found small size womans shoes of the same make she was wearing and make up. Id say better than 70% thats where they ended up. would be great to finally solve the mystery, ha?

Another version of the movie Blue Lagoon with Amelia Earhart instead of Brook Shields?

They will spend thousands on figuring out what that bone came from, with the most likely result of them realizing they did a DNA sample on some sailors lunch.
