I saw that this morning, too. My gut says the DNA tests will be inconclusive. I don't think it will ever be completely solved until somebody comes up with identifiable pieces of the plane.

It's really a fascinating mystery though, isn't it?

Yes it is ... and the circumstantial evidence mounts that this is the place. But nothing definitive yet....

I don't understand why they don't need a DNA sample of Noonan's. Those bone fragments could be his.

I watched the documentary the other night all the other stuff they found I believe it could be her or him depending whose bone that is

Stories of finding her have been around since she vanished. Must be a few dozen of them. Hope this time they're really on to something.

they have found enough evidence on that island that I believe that's where they ended up.

i saw that on histry channel, they may have found the wreckage of the plane, but couldnt get a closer look due to weather getting rough, and the gps went out on the probe. the bone fragments were in conclusive so far, and as for the campsite being from the abandoned naval station, they found nothing to indicate it was from coastguard/navy personell, namely no beer bottles, or other items a navy/guard person would leave behind. i think it is very possable they found the remanes of earhart.

If she turned up alive, at 113 years of age, and had a story to tell...

Much more concerned about the 11 year old that went missing near here last week.

Oh old Mel had allot of years of bad luck including loosing his son..... his was a long road.

Amelia...... well I will not judge but, the area is part of a WWII area and what they have might have been what was in a GI's pockets. There were (and still are) many keepsake items GI's carry into deployment areas.

The jury is out on Amelia being found.

They said something about infant remains also. What if when they were marooned they had a baby? Don't know what the island had to offer as far as being able to survive for that long of a period of time? Should do DNA on the bones of the infant they dug up also. Being they found small size womans shoes of the same make she was wearing and make up. Id say better than 70% thats where they ended up. would be great to finally solve the mystery, ha?

Last "report" I saw on TV was that she had strayed into a Japanese pre-war area of activity and was captured and then...????...that didn't sem to lead anywhere either.

Jimmy Stewart...I mean Glenn Miller, is still MIA , too.

I thought they found her bones on the beach of Long Island along with three other moffia hits last week.

the gps went out on the probe.

They ran over the cable with the props of the tow boat.

I think the whole expedition is a an enormous waste of effort, time and money.
