Interesting. My wife made me have Hoppin John, said it was an old family tradition. We've been married seven years, never had it before, but, oh, well, it's food. Supposed to bring good luck. Guess it did, I ain't dead yet. Sure woulda liked a steak, though. Or even some hangover helper.

BBQ chicken here, while we watched the Vols whup up on Wisconsin. Chicken's not a tradition, but it was the choice-of-the-day.

Invited the in-laws over. (Ick)

Had a nice pork roast, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy. And some apple pie.

Needless to say I'm happily food drunk right now and about to plant into keyboard..

We had beans slow cooked with ham. collard greens .corn bread, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried chicken, tea,and home made brownies

i have inventory for my biz as a tradition on the 31st and 1st. then pabst blue ribbon beer for a chaser...... i got it all counted.... yeah....

I had a piece of chocolate cake from the NYE party for breakfast. I had to go in to work to run the year end tape backups. For lunch I had 2 McDonalds cheeseburgers and a large coffee. That's a shame too as me and my old skillet can make some pretty good cornbread.

Oliebollen (Dont know the english eqivalent) with powdered sugar.

But they look like this and contain a lot of fat.
I haved drunk becouse I had to drive home again.

Ham, blackeyed peas, cabbage, and corn bread here for the aforementioned reasons, plus they eat purty darn good!
