I bought an 86 Bayliner center console with a force 125 about 6 weeks ago. The guy I bought the boat from said the boat ran perfect. The first time I put the boat in the water the scuppers behind the splashwell were 1-2" below the water. When I checked for waterlogged foam I found no foam under the floor only in the walls which apeared to be dry. I have kapt the boat covered and the acess holes opened hoping that the innerds would dry if thats why it sits low. I forgot to mention that my spash well has a 1" plug hole in it where I had to plug it so the boat didnt sink. I ended up plugging the scupers so I could take the boat out. Since I had the boat I replaced the 4 plugs,1 solenoid, fuelpump kit, fuel filter, thermostat, waterpump kit, primer bulb and fuel lines and pingpong scuppers. I was in the water and when I went to restart the boat it wouldnt start in neutral. I gave it throttle and when I would go back to neutral it would die. I had to turn the throttle stop screw all the way in just to make it run in neutral so I could gat back in. Even if I try to give it just throttle it doesnt rev up like it did (sounds like low rpms at full throttle). When I tried to drive back at full throttle it didnt have any power and would barely move and eventually staul.I went down today and found that the compression on my bottom cylinder was only 70 psi. Would one cylinder with low compression cause it to run so poorly or do I have another problem? I called the man who sold me the boat and have printed the emails saying the boat is in perfect condition. I am asking for my money back and will persue it to court if need be but in the event I get stuck with this boat I would like to know what I need to fix. I welcome opinions about the court issue and fixing the boat.
Thank you
