Your home owners or car insurance would not cover you if you are charged with a crime. That’s why people who conceal carry should have special insurance
Exactly why I asked about personal liability insurance, separate from home owners and auto. I have it, I was asking about others who may have it.

Sounds like you really need to take a self defense course in your state... Then you can hear about all the legalities... Opinions are just that, you need to know what the law sez...
That being said, good luck dealing with a mob if you stick around...
no, I don't need to take a self defense course. I know what the answer is, as I've attended "use of deadly force" seminars, and driving over crowds of people, obviously maiming/killing them , and, who are not threatening severe bodily injury, death, or kidnapping, just because they are damaging your vehicle , is gonna get you in a world of trouble. That's not my opinion, that's 2nd amendment, right-to-carry defense lawyers absolute statements. Application of lethal force is not a viable defense for protecting property.
The jury has the final say , so there's that.

That is actually a tough question. Too many factors and unknowns to give you a definitive answer. I can tell you though if you just run over people you will be sued and you may be prosecuted. If you shoot someone even if justified and in self defense you will be sued and you also may be prosecuted. I tell people who are getting their concealed carry permit if you ver have to discharge your firearm no matter what the circumstances it’s almost 100% you will be sued by someone. Be sure to carry cow insurance. As far as prosecution it depends on the circumstances and the DA. As previously stated you really need to take a self defense or cow couse.
First thought that comes to mind is immediately start recording it. Give fair warning with the horn and verbal that you are going to proceed with moving the car. At least you be able show in court they were able to get out of the way but chose not to move after the warning. If you draw your weapon and fire your screwed.
two good answers......
which is why I tried to introduce a device such as that Byrna, for reasonable discussion......It is not considered a lethal weapon. Therefore, you're not using lethal force if used...
No, I don't own one.....yet.....

My State Police told me to wait until he is COMPLETLY inside the house. Then I am legally defending My self and property. Remember. Dead breakins NEVER testify against you.

Fine line between damaging my vehicle and trying to bust my windows out to pull me out of the vehicle.
