Greasing steering/tilt on Tohatsu M40C

I just noticed the zerk fittings on the leg of my M40C. How much grease should be added and how often?

We lube the zerk fittings when we do annual maintenance -- but we have a short season in fresh water. Typical pricedure is to apply fresh grease until all the old grease is flushed out of the mechanism. See page 35 of your owner's manual at http://www.tohatsu.com/tech_info/own_man_pdfs/Toh40C.pdf
