Grease Gun - Stuck on Nipple

This is weird... borrowed a grease gun, went to use it and there's a nipple stuck in the end. No matter what I did, could not remove that sucker. So, I went to the hardware store, picked up another connector fitting. Attached the grease gun to one of my outdrive nipples, greased it up, but can't take it off - it's stuck? WTF!

How do I get this off, and why is this happening?

Thanks.

Pull harder? You're not going to hurt anything by putting all of your weight behind it.

Weird, it snapped on, no problem. Won't come off. Is there some trick to it?

Nope, sometimes they are a lot harder to get off than on. First time using one?

Have that happen sometimes,I think it's hydrolocked. Either the guns fault or chinese nipples, metric? Never could figure out why.

Ok, apparently you twist the connector end CCW and it loosens the grip, then pop it off with same amount of pressure it went on with. Sorry to bother everyone! I'll leave this thread here in case someone else runs into this problem. Thanks, everyone.

Nice to know I ruined a bearing budding pulling hard.

Thought I'd add this: bought a new grease gun today, instructions say to attach gun connector to fitting at an angle, then pump in grease head on. To remove, rotate a bit, then angle the gun connector and pull off of fitting. Method seems to work regularly.
