I knew that. But my brain was just stuck at the time. Hate it when that happens. See below...



I work on computers all day long. Design mainframe applications using all sorts of databases and files. Interface with PC's uploads and downloads, etc. All day long is just one big puzzle trying to figure out how to make the latest requirements work. Been doing this for almost 30 years. Then put me on Facebook and I am so frustrated because it is so far removed from what I feel would be an "intuitive" application I could scream. But then again, I am always brain dead when I come home. That's why I don't want to hear about anyone's laptop not working right, can't get to a page, etc. I'm done for the day....

I have been a painter for 33 years so guess what is the last thing I want to do when I get home and on the weekends,it does get done just not as fast

I find that really amusing. You are far smarter then me as far as computers. That said, see below....

I agree, if you ask me, the Facebook software/interface is very flawed and counter-intuitive, a lot of the time it won't work right. I also hear this from my kids who live on there sometimes.

I find facebook extremely cumbersome. It's basically a PITA.

I think it's the part about when people shoot you stuff you don't want to hear about and then get pissed when you don't respond to it.

They can easily be blocked/hidden. I think people sign up, then don't take the time to set their options.

lol...I completely agree!!! some of the most oblivious people I meet, are yet the most intellegent.

I'm considering leaving the Facebook world. Open it up and it's everybody's diary. I did this today, I'm doing that tomorrow, Johnny didn't sleep god last night, my dog jumped over the sleeping fox...blah, blah, blah.

If it wasn't for the fact I do get to see what some of my far away friends and relatives are doing, I probably would just end it....

One of my daughters has it on all day at her work.

You just remove the people that post annoying stuff all the time from your news feed (republicans, evangelicals, stay-at-home moms, etc etc )

I feel the same way!! It seems like all my friends post nothing but crap about there kids... who cares?!?! We don't need 30 pics of your infant eating cereal for the first time! (yes, a friend of mine did that).

I try and keep it exciting.

Today I posted up about my day. I am looking at houses, looking for my next purchase. Today, I am inside a rowhome in a bad hood. I get the key code, let myself in and lock the door behind me.
I am in the basement checking out the furnace, water heater, etc. and I hear someone talking, almost like they are inside the house. I look at the one basement window, and see this thug doing something by the porch. I froze, as he could of looked in and seen me easily. When he went away, i went to the window and right outside, at my eye level was a bag full of heroin caps.

You should have seen his and his crews faces when I walked out of the house 10 minutes later. I went to another house 6-7 doors up, and when I came back they were in front of the first house, and my truck. I just gave them they old head nod and "wassup" and went on my way.

Yeah I passed on both of those houses even though they were deals.

I'm kind of torn. My entire family, to include my 70 year-old parents, communicate through FaceBook. I was up at the folk's house in Michigan last week and couldn't believe my mom was such a FB junkie.

I'm resisting. I'm looking for my next career and I don't need an internet presence more than I already have.

You are correct, there are a lot of viruses on those pages, but if you set your browser up correctly, its not a problem...I have no virus software on our computers and never have, but Knock on wood, I have never had a virus in the last 20 years, but I run a pretty conservative profile on our computers...

I've never heard of a brower setting that will stop a virus from getting on your compu.

Please explain that one.
