i too am a catch and release guy....but i have been fishing over 20 years and still never caught a bass over 10 pounds. came real close though. if and when she does, she's going on my wall!!!

I would have too if that was a common catch.<br /><br />Bass lunker club is when you get into rarified air. It's a once in a lifetime chance, cwilt knows what I'm talking about. A picture just won't do man!

Yep, Ya should have bought one of those replicas. Nothing like having "not your, not fish" on the wall.<br />Heck, that'd be a like a side story to the story of how you didn't really catch it.<br />Cost, about the same...<br /> I think they like a picture of the fish, but, it's not necessary in order to "buy" a replica. BUT, If you forgot the camera. Just send me a picture of a fish you like in a magazine, and a picture of you smiling (and $20). I'll be more than happy to send you back a picture of yourself holding "not your fish" to go with the "not your fish" on the wall.<br /> I just really think it's a good idea....to provide those of you that didn't have a camera handy....the opportunity to purchase a photo of a fish. (and I can assure you, the photo will be of a real fish, not a replica).

I hang pix on my wall. This is my Son with a 42" Northern.<br />

Those are some nice Pike JB......<br /><br /><br />Around here there are a few decent Pike Lakes (southern part of the state), but once you get up North a little ways all the lakes are classified CLASS A Musky. (ie no trolling etc). On most of those lakes the Musky are so abundant and being number one in the food chain the northern pike population is quickly whittled down to A LOT of "snake" northern (great for pickling).........you commonly find no size limit on pike up there since they want to get the number of "snake" northerns down.<br /><br />Its funny.....while crappie fishing in the evenings its not uncommon to catch 4 or 5 pike in a half hours time. I caught and released 25 and kept 6 on a 2 day trip last summer...........HINT: they like red/white stick bobbers (lost three of them that northerns just nailed.

JB - A 42" Northern pike is the largest Northern I caught so far in all my years of fishing.<br /><br />Here in the Mississippi river, southeastern Minnesota, the water temp gets in the 80's during the summer. No Musky, but great fishing! We are in the middle of it all. The big cold water fish like it up north and the big warm water fish like it down south.<br /><br />My big Northerns usually run between 36" to 39" and are released. This is my Nephew with one of his two big ones he caught that day. The trick is... big crankbaits and deep water.<br /><br />Hey everyone, take a kid fishing!<br /><br />

Caught this bass last weekend. I was using yamamoto worms. It is over 6lbs.
