Re: Got a wall hanger? show us.
I wouldn't mind having a replica of a big toad I caught, but man, if I even have the extra money... I know it would be going towards new tackle or something on my boat.

Gonefishie, that's a heckuva fish, especially for a northern bass!... we want details, length, weight, how'd you catch it??? I love a good story.

Well the measurement was 26" length and 18" girth, I think it could weight a little more since I put it in the freezer for 3 days before I could bring him to the taxidermist. Caught him on a PJ Pop in tennessy shad(sp)color, the sun just went below the tree top about 7:30 pm, late August. Just imagine someone take a big rock and throw it in the water, that what it sounded like when he hit. What surprised me was he didn't fought all that much, old dude I think. When I got him close enough that I can see him, my knees started shaking real bad and I knew that I'm going to put him on the wall. That picture was taken 8 yrs ago, cost me close to $200 to mount. Caught him out of a nature lake about 500 acres and very deep in East Haven, CT. I worked in CT for 2 yrs right after college. In southern CT most everybody fish salt water, if they go to a lake they'll be trout fishing. The bass fishing was awesome and normally I was the only one on the lake fishing for them. I'm sure there are several more pigs in that lake.
