ok i stored my engine boat for a while , and the impeller was very tight caused a lot resistance to engine rotation, what should one do to store the outboards over winter to prevent this ?

Define a while. Based on the thread, it sat for 3 years.

I would drop in a new impeller after 3 years and lube it with water soluble glycerin such as KY jelly

The rubber fins take a set after sitting, I guess you could remove it for winter..
