Good substitute for carpet?

I've got a Lowe deck boat. And the main floor in the boat is fine. The carpet is actually held up decently. But the carpet on the upper wood deck is just dry rotted and tears right off. I don't really wanna go back with carpet on the upper deck. What's y'all's advice for a decent affordable substitute?

Marine vinyl works pretty good. It has some texture so it is non slip. Pick a cool color....

I work for a small state park and on our tour boat we used a textured deck repair paint. I think the name was Deckover from the big orange box store. Thinking seriously about doing my pontoon boat with the same.

There are tons of other mfg. materials available that are newer and cheaper. That link is expired.
