Its not Allstates fault, just their friggen agent. When I put my 16 year old step daughter on my policy she only was on it for 6 months. Had no problem dropping her when she moved out of the house.

Now for my son Carl, it raised 150 a month. Last June he was officially out of the house and tried to get him dropped. They wouldn't do it. Said the next half they can drop him. They didn't and now for the past year we have spent 150 extra each month for coverage for someone who wasn't even living in the same town. Just got my premium and yes they still show him on there plus raised it another 30 bucks!.

Well low and behold I changed to State Farm. Everything now is covered by them. I had enough savings from them to get my boat covered by them and still have about 350 dollars savings left.

Sure wish I could get a refund on services that I was forced to pay. Of course I should have cancelled earlier, but being with Allstate for 20 years, you would think they would treat you better.

Now Allstate is calling and wanting to get my business back. I told them if they cut me a check for 1800 plus 6 months free coverage on my autos I would think about it. Of course they said they can't do that. Oh Waaaaaaa!

I had allstate for 28 years and dumped them. My rates did nothing but climb and I have No Accidents, No Tickets, No children drivers.... I went with another company and saved about 400 a year!

Bob

My insurence added an extra $78.00 because I drove my truck more than I did last year by 2,000 miles. They didnt want to explain why, because I drove the car 3,500 miles less. You cant argue with them. I figure they own me money.

Allstate is really fun to deal with. I move to another town and they didnt want me to change agents.

I bought a brand new, paint not even dry house and they wouldnt insure it because they were worried about mold.  Now that the house is almost 4 years old, I must not have a mold problem because they are constantly calling trying to get my insurance.

Re: Good Bye Allstate Insurance

My agent was in his office early one morning when my wife was going to work. Thought she would make the payment since he was in the office. He motioned her to put the payment under the door. The door wouldn't let her put it under. He unlocked the door and grumbled at her about their business hours. What a jerk. Then when she would make payments to his clerks, they were rude and inconsiderate. Proof of that is them keeping my son on when I had requested him to be removed.

Then about 3 months ago an Allstate agent from the district called me for a survey on my thoughts of their service. I thought telling them my problem with my son would have been rectified by them. Nope, still the same old bull. The only thing that I can say is that they were very good on adjusting any claims.

I like my new agent, she sure is a cutie!

My agent cost them multiple policies in 2000. He explained a rate hike of 62% as "That's the way it is!" Progressive has been great on the Boatr and Auto's. I hope they get Homeowners soon.

Had Allstate for years, nothing but hassle, switched to State Farm, saved a bunch and no more hassle.
