Wasn't trying to be critical... sorry if I came off that way. It was just FYI stuff. The reason I mentioned it is because I actually do run short ram CAIs and have real world dyno experience with them. Awesome looking ride, BTW. :)

All's good! Thanks...time will tell if it suits our needs?!

I applied a little heat from a heat gun (Harbor Freight $9.99), once you get the edge up enough to grab, they more or less pulled right off. I used some Goof-Off to remove a little of the adhesive residue...took about 45 minutes total!

I was going to recommend that. Those hybrid stickers on the sides of those things are goofy looking.

They remind me of the '80's Toyota trucks with the rainbow stickers. All gone...drove it to do a walk-thru this evening...Weird feeling driving up our street in electric mode..."the creeper"

Good call on sticker removal. Only plus side I suppose is the stickers would stop rock dings and chips on the lower door that get past the mudflaps and running boards... however for me it seems the boards do a decent job of stopping most while the mudflaps don't. I've had more experience with combinations of trucks with boards and with mudflaps and combinations with and without therein. If ever I were to buy new or very close to new, I'd have the clear plastic put on.

So, we've had the Hybrid for a little over a week and we've gone thru 1 tank of fuel...

389.4 miles
22.6 gallons
17.23 mpg

Of that, ~100 miles was towing the boat ~3,600lbs

That's better than the average of my little 'ole Tacoma...unloaded!

We'll see how it does this next tank, as there is no plans for towing!

That is pretty good for towing 25%! (of your consumption).

If you have onstar enabled you should be able to see the lifetime economy of the car. If you bought it used press the onstar button and they will give you like 90 days free or something like that so you can check it out.

It has the total fuel used and average mpg. 17.1mpg...which is low, but based on miles per year (6,700 miles) we're guessing it was all city, not much highway? Other Hybrids we tested were getting 18.5 mixed?

That is unique and interesting Onstar would want to know MPG information.
17.1 isnt that bad for a lifetime average, especially with cold starts in Colorado (warmup before Hybrid kicks in). I'm sure a regular Gas version would be around 13 lifetime.

Would love to get 17mpg. Our suburban has the 6.0L we average around 13.5mpg on our last hwy trip from phoenix to san diego with a pop up camper in tow loaded to around 3000lbs. Local city driving 11mpg. highway maybe 16mpg.
