well i dint have a local west marine near me....andf was thinking of applying a gluvit style product inside my hull.... i was getting antsy, and bought on the recomendation of the local hardware store I have "supported" over the years with my stainless steel boat hardware!!!!!

he sold me on a product called SNO SEAL.....

its was described as a glue-like sealant that seeped into crevices to close them up....sounds right!

well i applied it to my old 1969 Alumacraft 16 footer... this boats has had and will seemingly always be having poped rivets...the ribs are cracking like crazy...I have welded them over and over..and replaced a bunch or rivets with all kinds of fasteners... this past weekend i re did a bunch again...and then i power washed the inside( this boat doesnt have a sub floor) and it dried fast in the 90 degree heat yesterday here in NY..and then i applied this SNO SEAL>.. it was like thick paint...

and i am not sure it lasting performance...but ...it the tenacity of this stuff sticking to my skin for the last 2 days is any kind of indication...this stuff will last.....it is all but impossible to get this stuff off my hands and arms( yes i was kinda messy) i was fast because I am going to move this boat cheaply... after it dried water was no match....and paint thinner wouldnt work...now at work today i am using the industrial punnice laced soap and it still wont budge...my skin is getting red from the rubbing...but the paint sticks!

Ill keep the forum abreast of any future imformation on how this stuff works out...

i think i paid $19 for the gallon
