I am getting ready to start the sanding and cleaning prep of my new floor. That means a lot of acetone use before glassing with lots of floor surface to glass. So far, I have used nitrile gloves for small washing jobs that I can do quickly but those gloves start to deteriorate fast and at times I have gotten acetone on my hands. Vinyl gloves fall apart immediately when wetted with acetone. What are the best gloves to use when you wash with acetone? Can anyone recommend a type and brand? Thanks.

THESE are hands down the best disposable gloves I have used. The are about 2x the cost of nitrile gloves but they last 5x longer. I was able to do several hours of laying glass and handling acetone in one single pair of these gloves. This makes them cost effective in the long-run when you consider how many pairs you'd go through otherwise. They are 13 mil thick...much tougher than most other gloves on the market, but still thin enough to be able to feel your work. The only downside I see is that they are latex, so if you have a latex allergy, these are not for you.

I keep a box of these on the shelf for big/long jobs or jobs that involve chemicals that eat nitrile gloves, and I also keep a few boxes of THESE Nitrile gloves on the shelf for everything else.

The thicker orange or yellow gloves that are used for washing dishes is what I use and they hold up well for my needs.
Grocery store, wally, box stores all carry them.
