Not sure if he bought one yet, but I did!! I got a 01' GX225 Glastron yesterday. It's a really nice boat too, it was much wider than I thought and has a monster 5.7L V8 in it. The previous owner is going to meet me at the lake today and show me the ropes. I am very excited. He was stiff on the price which was $15,500, but I think I still did well. The "Nada" guide was booking at an average retail of $15k+ with no options. The only things it included were a disc changer and a bimini top and I wish he had more toys with it, that's stuff is costly.

But I'll take some pics today and post them tomorrow. This is my first boat!!!! Now who is the most stoked cat on the forum???!!!! lol....

Glastron GX225's rock. I only have the 5.0L carbed in mine, and it does everything I want it to do, everything from loaded up with peeps to wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and slalom.

I bought a GXL 185 last year new. I did a lot of research, upgrading from a doral 170BR (which is a great boat too). Best bang for the buck I think with Glastron. I really think the construction and build of the boat is one of the best out there. I looked at Chaparral, Doral, Crownline, and Mariah but nothing could come close to the options I got with this boat for the price. It's also actually lighter then a lot of it's competitors because there is no wood used for the stringers, decks etc. It is really quiet on the water too. The biggest bonus I found is that the ergonomics/int space is well laid out in Glastron boats, lots of space.

I had a 1986 Sea Arrow and before that a 1979 Baja. The Baja was a great boat and the Sea Arrow always gave me problems ending with a rotten transom.

I bought a 2003 Glastron GX 185 with a Volvo 4.3 and have been VERY impressed with the boat. It will run 52 MPH with me and 2 others in the boat handles far better than the other two boats I have owned and gets decent fuel economy.

The VEC hull is great and ride in chop is amazing. I didn't want another rotten transome so I got the Glastron since it has no wood and will never rot. Glastron has been an industry leader for many decades.

Elvis had a Glastron, President LBJ had them, The British Royal Family had a Glastron, They were featured in two James Bond Movies (Live and Let Die and Moonraker) ven Batman had a Glastron What boat can even come cliose to that colorful history? Good quality at a decent price along with a very well established history...I mean if it is good enough for Batman and Elvis what other super hero validation do you need?
